چکیده
Background: Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) has regenerative characteristics and is used as an autologous source of growth factors for tissue regeneration wound healing. Objective: Evaluating the efficacy C-PRF increasing gingival thickness (GT) keratinized width (KTW) in subjects with a thin phenotype comparison I-PRF injection. Methods: Ten healthy participants (GT ≤ 1.0 mm) were enrolled this study. The upper Lower arches participant’s mouth split into two sides, each side was randomly injected C-PRF, while contralateral I-PRF. GT KTW assessed before treatment, 1 month later, 3 months after last injection session. Results: Inter-group between groups revealed statistically significant difference at follow-up visit, mean ±1.373 mm effect size 0.200 p= 0.048. Intra-group both except group arch KTW, which non-significant 0.266. Conclusion: In individuals phenotypes, injections may influence increase KTW. results suggest that application be beneficial non-surgical method (ClinicalTrials.gov NCT05615155).

Use of platelet-rich fibrin membrane following treatment of gingival recession: a randomized clinical trial.
This 6-month randomized controlled clinical study primarily aimed to compare the results achieved by the use of a platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) membrane or connective tissue graft (CTG) in the treatment of gingival recession and to evaluate the clinical impact of PRF on early wound healing and subjective patient discomfort. Use of a PRF membrane in gingival recession treatment provided acceptable ...

The use of autologous platelet concentrates, represent a promising and innovator tools in the medicine and dentistry today. The goal is to accelerate hard and soft tissue healing. Among them, the platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is the main alternative for use in liquid form (injectable). These injectable form of platelet concentrates are often used in regenerative procedures and demonstrate good res...

objectives : platelet preparations are commonly used to enhance bone and soft tissue regeneration. considering the existing controversies on the efficacy of platelet products for tissue regeneration, more in vitro studies are required. the aim of the present study was to compare the in vitro effects of plasma rich in growth factors (prgf) and platelet-rich fibrin (prf) on proliferation and viab...
متن کاملClinical and Histologic Evaluation of Platelet-Rich Fibrin Accelerated Epithelization of Gingival Wound
The foremost indication for gingival depigmentation is patient demand for improved aesthetics. In most cases after the removal of pigmented layer, the area is covered with periodontal packs. These dressings have no curative properties. They only minimise the likelihood of surface trauma during mastication. However, platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) accelerates wound healing by effective neovascularisa...
متن کاملClinical evaluation of the effect of gingival thickness on increasing the width of keratinized and attached gingiva with and without preserving periosteum in an animal study
BACKGROUND AND AIM: The present study was performed in order to assess the effect of gingival thickness on amount of gingival augmentation with and without preserving periosteum.METHODS: The study was conducted on 8 ecotype dogs aged 1-5 years. At the beginning, clinical probing depth and keratinized and attached gingiva width were measured. Totally, 64 sites were operated in this study. Perios...
